Hurricane Katrina/Rita stuff

I went down to the gulf states on September 3 2005-and stayed there until Halloween-came home for a month, and went back to neworleans for 6 weeks over christmas and newyears-
This pic is in a Louisiana state "park"it might not have looked as bad if it wasn't right after a hurricane-but it was still a nasty swampy place-alligators and snakes and all sorts of stuff OhMY!

-yes I tried to poke it with a stick-its about 3-4 feet away, dont worry I fed it some saltines so it wouldnt try to eat me

and this is what happens when you have to live in a tent in mississippi/lousiana for 7 weeks while its a national disaster area , quite flattering I know
that was a house-I literally have hundreds of pics like this
p.s. thats Ron Topalinski(sp) he was pretty much my boss while I was in Gautier(pronounced gooschey...no really) Mississippi
there were boats that size 3 block inland on folks lawns
Navy Hovercraft-thingy
thats a floating casino(supposed to be in the water)-its probably heavy--yeah its from a helicopter, but Ron just gave me the pics, he was going to let me go up in with him but the FEMA commander was mean and said no
more helicopter pics
thats the I-10 freeway going over the lake potchatrain(sp) in the bottom corner
This was the sunset before hurricane Rita, the lower strip of clouds that blocks the color is one of the "fingers" of the hurricanes swirl
this was in texas, the hurricane camp was at this real pretty lake-I thought this sign was hilarious-this lake is seriously huge like 20 miles long and miles wide in spots-not really something you would be UN-aware of being close to

I am appalled that you would put up the picture of you being a total nightmare! ha ha. I still remember when I showed Isaac that picture & asked him who you were. He had no idea! I think it scared the crap out of him.

Welcome to the blogosphere, ol' chum. I dig the pic with you and the wee man in Castro, the one with the wicked volume up top was pretty sweet too.
