Jude is getting bigger and bigger, he busted out "roll it and roll it" for Patty Cake all by himself the other day. He would never do it on request, guess he was waiting until he was realllllly good at it.

A few days after that Darci and Jonah were sharing some chocolate cake and Jude started doing "roll it and roll it" I guess requesting Darci share the cake (and then share it again and again), I was pretty impressed he made the association.

Jonah is a great big brother, one of their favorite games is to crawl around for Jude to try and catch Jonah..they both think is funny and just laugh and laugh.

Jonahs Room Is Finally Done!!

It took almost a year but here are pictures of Jonahs new room. There are still some finishing touches to be made, but over all its done. We are so excited to finally have it done. I am just happy I don't have all his toys all over the front room any more. Jonah is still adjusting to sleeping down there. Jonah isn't too happy about the idea of him sleeping in a room by him self.

I think these pictures may not be as clear as they could. Jonah thinks its fun to play with my camera and get it nice and sticky for me.

Jonah thinks his chalk board walls are pretty cool. Didn't Dylan do a good job. He sprayed that pirate ship on there. It turned out nicely.

Jonah told us he wanted an Orange and Blue room. We painted the walls blue and threw in a few orange accents. He told us he needed a rocket ship in there so we made sure it was an orange one.

The bathroom is getting there. For now its going to be unfinished for a little while. We did hook the toilet up for Jonah though so he can use it.

This is a good one of Jude getting his first taste of anything not-mom-milk, its a white nectarine..I think he kinda likes it. His eyes were that big the whole time. And he was babbling constantly .

Jonah had to borrow pops sunglasses cause we forgot his, he looked pretty cute on his micro-nap (he is too old for normal mid-day naps, just try and get him to take one) on our way to his new friend Grey's 3rd Birthday party.

Grey had a monster theme party and Jonah totally loved it, he has a really fun house too. Jonah was way sad when we had to go home. They had cute monsters to take pics with and after Jonah had his, he made mamma and papa take pics with them too.

The Jude-ster got his own hoody towel, his is a frog.

Jonah's is a duck and he loves it. To coax him out of the tub one day I told him "the duck is ready to hold you and get you dry and warm" , so now when he is ready to get out he says "duck!, hold me"

We have to get a few more of the Judeburrito.

Jonah is sitting on a heat vent(its not really on) but me and my brothersnsisters used to do this all the time in the Leamington house to get warm, so I had to get some pics of it.

I just wish it could slow down a bit.

Cause these boys are are getting older and bigger all the time.

Jonah loves to hold his brother, not too sure if Jude likes it as much.

He does like having his mommy hold him, so much that if she is within reaching distance he usually starts yelling and kicking his legs around. I figure that he is trying to escape whoever is holding him to get to her.

He is even harder to get a good smile pic out of than Jonah was at this age, as soon as he sees the camera he becomes a stoic.

Sitting up like a bigboy (with the help of the cushions of course)

Our "big boy jono finsin" 's room is so close to being done, got the carpet in and the all important chalk-board pirateship and wall finished. The skullncrossbones is red chalkboard paint now. Jonah loves the room, he has to show it to everyone that comes over. We are excited to let him move down there I (dylan) will probably end up sleeping in his room with him the first while till he gets comfortable though.

Speaking of big boy's, Jonah decided it was ok to try out the whole using-the-toilet stuff and he is doing amazing with it. Even sleeps thru the night with dry bigboy underwear, so far so good.

He is such a riot, he got to pick a toy for his first successfully number-2 in the toilet, he chose some dinosaurs because he really likes them right now. I asked them if they have names and he named all four for me;

1. Sarry, or Sarrie I guess, not sure on the spelling..

2. Dr. Finsin (thats how Jonah says Finlinson)

we tried to suggest the possibility of the last 2 having different names but he is sure those are the names. Parents are so silly sometimes, names are names

Jonah has swimming lessons the last two weeks, he loved these swim goggles but they got lost at the pool.

He sure looked funny.

The Judester is just growing and growing, starting to smile and laugh a ton.

And look at those chubby cheeks hes growing.

Here Jonah is helping "gummPA Finsin" load some barrels of sand in the truck for cousin Crue.

Jonah needs to get half-naked all the time, this time he needed his cowboy chaps and vest on instead of diaper and pants.

He tried out his new chalkboard pirate ship and loves it, he was too excited to hold still for a picture.

He is gonna love his room once we get it all done.

Jonah just gets cuter and cuter everyday. Here is a little list of all the cute little things Jonah has done lately. He is starting to really use that imagination of his and do some really cute stuff. The other day he took my mesh strainer thing for cooking and was running around the house pretending to catch butterflys. Im not sure where he got the idea to do that but it sure was cute. He then took the pretend butterflys that he caught and dumped them in to the trunk of this big car that he has, took my whisk and started mixing them up. When I asked what he was doing he told me he was making some honey. Haha funny boy.
I try to keep Jonah off candy and Junk food so its a rare occasion that he should get candy or cookies and crap foods. Well except when papa is around and grandparents they tend to spoil the kids a little more. So lately Jonah will pretend he is eating something like that. So yesterday he is eating some blueberries (one of his favorite snacks) and says "mmm Yummy candy". Haha When he eats a fruit leather he says "yummy lolly pop mama." He was eating bread the other day and said. "Oh yum.. Pie!" He knows what each thing really is I guess he just thinks its fun to pretend its something else. Funny guy.
Okay so the other day Jonah was sitting on the floor with some new playmobile Pirates and gold that he got for his pirate ship. He decided instead of having all the pirate gold in a treasure chest it would be a good idea to pull off the hair on his pirate and put the gold in his pirates head. So as he is doing this he spills the gold and says "Dammit" I have to say it was actually pretty funny but at the same time its not something I want my child saying. So me and Dylan look at him and say what? Jonah says "swears". That little monkey we told him not to say it. So this morning Jonah spills some milk on the carpet and says "Dammit" Oh my okay yeah so he quickly corrects himself and says dangit. Guess we have something we need to work on around here. Oh that monkey.

Jonah got a sweet sucker from momma. But he got a little too excited and was swinging it around and smashed it on the bouncer then said "sorry Momma, mess"

The Jude telling me how offended he is that I dared put him down in is bouncer, he is supposed to be held 24/7.

Except here he is temporarily ok with setting by himself, giving Aunt Sara a smile.

and man-oh-man does The Jonah love his Jude.

we just renewed our memberships to the living planet aquarium so Jonah could run all over and check stuff out. He likes the spiders the best, this Cayman was cool too.

I was trying to give Jude some tummy time after I got off work because we dont do it enough. Jude reeeeally doesn't like tummy time right now I guess, he yelled at me the whole time he was laying there and continued to yell at me while I changed his bum. Sooo I had to take some video of it.

(Darci) So I am pretty sure we are the worst at getting on this thing and updating it. You can blame it all on Dylan really this blog thing is his dealio. But since we got married it has become ours not his so I guess I need to get on it and start updating it more since Dylan is being a slacker. Well and Dylan says "if you're going to get on here and change the backgrounds and such then you better post some blogs too." So here I am.
Honestly though there is not too much to blog about our lives our pretty much same old same old. But there is always something to blog about when talking about our 2 cute little monkeys. So maybe once in a while I will try to make an effort to get on here and write about all the cute things our kids do and say. Probably mostly Jonah for a little while anyway since Jude is just barely starting to turn into a little baby instead of a lump just laying around and sleeping. Jude is now 2 1/2 months and in these last few weeks he has started smiling and laughing and even trying to talk now, he will just look up at you and coo and smile. Such a cute boy. Jude is pretty demanding though, he demands your attention 24/7 and thinks he needs to be held all day. He doesn't care who is holding him as long as he is being held I'm pretty sure if a bum off the street came in and held him he wouldn't even care he would just be happy to be held. Hhm yeah lets not let that happen though. Tonight it took me about 4 or 5 tries before I got him to lay down by him self. Every time you rock that baby to sleep the second you lay him down he wakes up and screams like how dare you put me down. Yeah so on about the 5th try tonight I got him down but less then 20 minutes later he was up again yelling at me. He's in his bouncer now telling me I need to pick him up he is building up to yelling at me. So I may have to take a break. That skunk!
Good thing Jude has a really patient nice big brother who understands Jude needs to be held a lot. Jonah is getting use to all the changes. Jonah is totally okay with me having to stop in the middle of a book or something and pick Jude up for a minute because hes screaming to loud for Jonah to even here me read it. I just love that Jonah hes so good! If Jude is crying Jonah always makes sure to tell us and tell us how to fix it. Today it was so cute Jude was laying on the couch and I was sitting next to him and he started crying and Jonah came up and said 'Jude..poops mama, get them out." and he starts pumping Jude's legs back and forth trying to get those dang poops out.
Its always the best when I see Jonah trying to lay down on the play mat with Jude being all soft and kissing his head and says love you Jude. Or when Jude is crying Jonah says " Its okay Jude, don't cry Jude." Gives him a nummy (pacifier) and says "needs nummy, take it Jude take it." Jonah can be a really helpful big brother sometimes by giving Jude his passy or getting diapers and such. He just loves Jude so much that he can be a little too helpful. I can never leave those two in the same room together. Jude was in his bouncer the other day and started crying and Jonah goes to pick him up and Dylan walks in the room just in time to see this sweet Jonah trying to pick his brother up half way hanging out of the bouncer. Dylan says agh! Jonah don't do that. Jonah looks at him with this puzzled look on his face and says " uh crying papa!" like hes crying papa I need to hold him. Haha that cute Jonah. Hes always trying to be a helper. I just have to keep reminding him he can only hold Jude with our help. I am glad he loves his brother so much and is so nice... for now. I hope it stays that way.

Haven't even looked at this place in quite a while...

A few things have changed since then, Jonah got his hair cut....and got a new brother.

The Jude-ster-Supreme-6000 (Jude A Finlinson) was born April 6th after a nice comparatively short 2-3 hours of labor. He is of course super cute.

Jonah wasnt real excited about the whole deal at first, even called me "mama-pappa" for a few weeks in retaliation for Mama always holding the baby.
But now he decided he really likes Jude, wants to hold him and is a good helper. He even gives us parenting advice; if Jude is crying he says " Jude..crying..nummy (pacifier)" or "Jude crying, hold him". Its so sweet it pretty much makes up for him being a two year old...

Jonah sure had fun painting! He's such a little

monkey. I'm pretty sure he got more paint on

himself then on the paper. Who needs paper when you have yourself to paint on. Its way better to paint on your self I guess. Then after

a while Jonah decided it was getting too boring just

painting on himself and the paper so he decided

it would be fun to paint the carpet. Yeah I figured

well it says its washable. Hhm yeah don't always believe what the label says. Pretty sure thats never coming out of the carpet. Good thing we

planning on taking that carpet out in a few weeks anyway and replacing it with tile. So for all I care Jonah can paint on that carpet all he wants. Its going in the garbage. Yay.

I never update this anymore (this is Dylan). Between work, working on my stupid house and the on-going process of learning how to be a good husband and father, I just never find the time/desire to.

But this is a good reason to update....

Remember that "growth" I said Darci had about 2 1/2 years ago? well its back...well I guess its not 'Back' but she does have another one i.e. a baby in her tummy.

She is due April 10th but we were pretty much keeping it a secret until we knew what we were having. Darci and I both were sort of expecting a girl this time and were already working with Jonah about his "little sister". But we found out last Friday that its another boy, which is also great, just confusing to Jonah because now we've switched to "little brother".

Jonah doesn't quite have it all figured out yet, if you ask him were the baby is, its usually still him, in his belly or in my belly his and mommas belly.

So when we say "no, you're the big boy, where's the baby?" he'll stick out his gut realll far and point to his bellybutton. He will always eventually point to mommas belly so he is probably just teasing us.

We had to go to Fetal Fotos again...because we went for Jonah and because Darci couldn't wait for the next Dr visit to find out. After we were able to tell what we were having I was thinking how thats probably the only situation where "scrotum" is the key point of a conversation and is not something really bad or really funny...or both

Jonah's Gma Nilsson has a sweet jungle-room playroom for the grandkids, it has all sorts of fun. Jonah really likes the oldskool horsey, likes to stand up on the "stirrups" and really run that horse. He decided he should wear the coonskin hat while he rides now.

He is really pretty hard to get a cute picture of, this is his new Uncle Jordan's pet fawn. Jonah thought it was awesome but I couldn't get a decent pic of him petting it.

Jonah got to be the ring bearer for Jordan & Aimee we didnt have time to practice but he still did a good job.

He is gonna miss his Aunt Aimee while she is in NY but he is glad to have Jordan as an Uncle, you can tell cause Jonah uses his nice scowl when he looks at Jordan.

Darci is working at SportClips again so I get to hang out with Jonah-roni a lot more now. He usually gets messy when he's with me for some reason...

During dinner the other day he demanded I let him feed himself, he was doing pretty good with his yogurt but the spoon was too much work so he opted for sticking his face into it..much more efficient of course.
He ended up looking like this and I was laughing and laughing, Jonah did not appreciate it.
Its sort of a "well how do YOU eat yogurt Pop?"

Jonah is always such a good helper for his pop, so good in fact that I cant usually get anything done at all because he needs to see/use whatever I have at the moment and will yell at me if I dont let him. Cordless drills are one of his favorite tools. And the headlamp was pretty sweet too.

Jonah loved hanging out at Brooke&Andres' house, all sorts of good things to play with...like his cousins. He was trying to hold his own on the trampoline wrestlemaina with Ella and Taryn, did pretty good too.

Its really too bad this pic isnt clearer, he is a hard guy to get a picture off just sitting..always has to be moving it seems like.

I almost think it was a bad idea to get him this pool, he HAD to get in three times the first day, and screamed everytime his mean parents made him get out to do lame things like eat..or take a nap...so rude.
And now all the other cool stuff he used to like playing with in the backyard is a total waste of time, if he's outside he wants to be in the pool, we're pretty sure he would not get out ever if he was in charge.

Jonah doesn't look much bigger to us, just older...the change is so gradual I guess me and Darci just dont see it, that and he's been wearing the same clothes for 4 months now.

One of his favorite places is the cottonwood rec center, it has a sweetAction little kid area just for monkeys like Jonah

Its a good thing my phone has a nice camera on it, so I can snap photos real quick when he is doing something silly/cute.

Right here he was playing with the keyboard - when he gets tired he will put his head down and will take real quick, like 4-5 second, "rests" then pop up and start playing again.

He loves his Ali puppy so freakin much.
Ali is not super-fond of Jonah's cuddlyness though, I usually have to tell her to lay down so Jonah can harass her, but she is a good dog and tolerates it real well.

He also just loves being in her bed, he likes to roll around on it, and relaxin on Ali

At the store we saw these sweet johndeere tractors, Jonah recognized them because he has a couple tractors. He go sooo excited and had to sit on them and try to reach the levers.
he started kicking and flailing as soon as we pulled him off, I guess he needs one...

Jonah was so excited about his Easter basket!
He is reaching for his delicious Oreos. He loves oreos. He wanted to eat them for breakfast.

has this funny excited laugh whenever you show him blueberries.

If we let him he could eat the whole container in one sitting.

use to pull my hair back when I wash my face and for

some reason Jonah loves this head band. He is always pulling

Jonah loves talking on the phone. This is his favorite

cell phone. He just likes that it is a flip phone and

JONAH'S 1ST BIRTHDAY!!

Hehe Jonah was so cute. He wasn't sure what

to do with this giant cupcake. We tried to show

him but he was like uum I don't think so.. I think maybe

he just didn't like that everyone was staring at

him when he was trying to eat.

We cant believe Jonah is already One!! Time sure

has just flown by. Jonah has grown up so fast. He is so

freakin cute. He is jabbering so much these days. He already

says a ton, he can say Hello, Mama, banana- na balloon- ba

He doesn't really have those two words down yet but getting close.

He tries to say light. He can tell you where your nose is.

He purrs like a cat, he moos like a cow and he roars like a lion

He really is just loads of fun to be around. He does something

new everyday and it is so fun to watch what he is going to do next.

Finally I think he got the hang of it, but he still didn't

get to crazy about it.

I've decided that the "cutsie-scrapbook" look of our blog is a deterrent for me in actually updating or posting anything to it...

I really wouldn't mind as much I think if my wifie would post stuff here once in a while...but she does not, so every time I look it's just posts by me...on this buttons-and-string blog page.

It's probably doing permanent damage to my self-image...

anyway

Jonah is going to be 1 this Saturday, already a whole year since that little monkey showed up and eradicated any chance of me retaining my selfish, jerk-store persona that took so long to cultivate (implied sarcasm added for emphasis).

It was virtually nonexistent after the life-altering event that was, and continues to be, Darcito mae; and once he was here it pushed me over the edge I was skating of "sort-of-adjust-things-a-little" change to the "crap-I-am-actually-completely-responsible-for-another-human-now" kind of change.

Along with that change came the odd realization and acceptance that all the stupid and dangerous things I used to do when I was younger (and not so younger)...were in fact, stupid and dangerous.

Yeah, Yeah, my parents, teachers, scout leaders, cops, judges and occasional random passerby's were right..blah blah blah.

There's no need to go into specific detail to describe how drastically my definition of "stupid and dangerous" has changed, just that the list in my head of things I've done that I would admit to being "stupid-and-dangerous" at least doubled. And yes I would prefer it if Jonah did none of things on that list.

Both these things were all that was going on in my head during the first 2-10 seconds of Jonahs' life, although I could blame it on the fact that I had been awake without food for 30 hours or so at that point.

I had planned on teasing Darci and telling the Dr and Nurse that his name would be Jacombsie when they asked, but I was a bit preoccupied and stuck with the name we sort of agreed on in the weeks before of Jonah L

Overall the 20+ hours of labor were and still are very worth it, at least to me, but I didn't do much of the work either. it really seems like it was just a few weeks ago.

Jonah took Darci and me to the Manti Temple on December 23rd to get sealed as an eternal family, pretty good idea on his part dontcha think?

At least that's what I'm claiming she said...

we got our endowments in the SLC Temple the day before (wanted to spread it out a bit). The endowment and sealing were both amazing.
Jonah was a pretty good sport about the sealing and was just fine once he was back in his moms arms, he got less and less content taking pictures in Manti in the 20 degree weather though, along with everyone else involved I'm sure.
Overall it was a great Christmas present to ourselves.

As you can see he was totally impressed...j/k. That is his typical expression, sure is his fathers' son. I love that kid...and his mommy

24th of July! Jonah was more interested in

the glow sticks then with the fire works.

We thought the loud sound of the fire works would scare him, but they didn't. It was such a late night for him he didn't get to bed till about 11pm. He was such a good boy.

I love this picture. Jonah is attached to me 24 hours a day, you would think we would have more pictures of us two.

Jonah is getting pretty big already, he is over 12lbs now(what a beefcake).

so Jonah L. Finlinson finally decided to show up, only a week late and 20 hours of labor later..

here he is getting to know his mom for the first time...all slimed up still

fresh out of the oven, all the fingers and toes are there, lots of hair and some big ole hands

Me and Darci had been awake for around 30 hours with no food at this point...

He is a pretty cute little stinker, and a pretty good boy so far

sooo the other day (like 2 months) Darci's belly started to get bigger..then in like a weeks time it got huge..we thought maybe she had a tumor or something. but it turns out that it was/is actually just a baby.

here this whole time I was thinking "jeeze she is really letting herself go now that she is married"

ok so that is of course all facetious, we had all these pics taken at fetalphotos. we first went at about 17 weeks because Darci didnt believe me that the baby was a boy..no really I knew it was a boy.

we dont have a name picked yet. the little guy is scheduled to be done baking around february 13 09, so hopfully we can agree on a name by then.

hey look thats me sitting on a rock..in the water..

it was a nice day at the ole spillway, T`was a pretty good time. I unfortunately have only been there a few times this year.

Darci came and jumped off the spillway. even though it wasn't very high that day, it was still nice.

speaking of Darcito, I tricked her into being my wife

I distracted her with this nice sparkly and she said yes..oh and the being in love with her part helped too

so on September 3rd this year Im gonna be a married man, with a little wifey and the whole 9 yards..whatever that means...

turns out I did not fail my classes, but the C in business didnt help my 4.0 at all. Squeaked by with a B+ in math too, so that was ok.

instead of the continuing the traditional scolastic learning process, Ive decided to put it on hold and increase my computer geekness exponentialy by taking some certification classes, NET+, CCNA, CCNP and a few others if I can fit them in. If all goes well by next year I will have some marketable skills (at least on paper anyway)..that will be sweet.

sooo Im failing my business 1050 class..if it does happen, it will be the first time Ive "unintentionally" failed a class. don't get me wrong Ive had a few of the ole "F's" "I's" etc depending on the teacher fancy but I was generally aware by the second week of class, mostly because I had stopped going to the class altogether at that point.

this time though..I can only blame myself, but I don't want to so I'll blame work and looking into buying a house. I was doing great until the middle of March when I decided that I wanted to murder my carefree, no responsibilities lifestyle and buy a house. I can be fairly intense and focused all my attention (well not all but like 60%, which is A LOT) on looking for a nice house to spend an outrageously large amount of money on, needless to say, since my focus tops at around 70% my scholastic duties have suffered. what is even more frustrating is that I, yes me Dylan, have had a 4.0 up to this point, which in itself is not that impressive, lots of people do it...but its a first time thing for me...I don't think I even brought my books home from school the first 12 years, except to fool my parents into thinking I actually opened them at times, and by January of my senior year when I was shooed away from school like a pesky horsefly, I had to have the janitor open my locker because I had forgotten my combination due to lack of using it..

I guess when you're paying thousands of dollars for school, motivation is not so incredibly hard to fabricate.

Even with my first non-A college grade I think I'll be ok...cause Im still pretty cool

This is a pic of me getting a promotion at work last week( I look excited, right?)...Im a: Satellite Communications Teleport - Network Operations Center MANAGER...sounds pretty sweet eh?
Alas I will miss my 5 day weekends, the unpredictiable eating habbits that come from swing shifts, the mindnumbing nights when nothing happens, countless hours of look for cars-houses-electronics that I cant afford to remind myself of all the money I dont have and sleeping during the day wearing my sweet nightmask (the things the fancy girls wear in movies when they sleep to keep it dark..I really have one)
on the other appendageofchoice, now I'll have a "normal person" 8-5 monday thru friday type job, which in my mind, is just one more hesitant step towards that whole responsible adult nonsence everyone talks about.

And there is something strangely appealing about being dropped into a position you're not prepared for..or necessarily qualified for either...and watching the fireworks.

I had to interview a replacement for my old shift

-Ive always hated the interview process, partly because I dont like talking to people sometimes..and partly because Im cocky and I always have the attitude that if they would just shut up and show me how they what said job done I can do it.-

but I tried to be professional and think of legitmate questions and it still ended up like "do you want a job?...yes, ok good...you're not stupid are you?"
all in all Im sure I will do a great job, and at some point become conditioned to working 5 days a week with no exteneded "breaks"

so yippie for me and all that

After trying to sleep all day in preparation for the inevitable nightshift, I awoke feeling refreshed and rarin-to-go. I proceeded to the basement where my strong-maker is(weight bench) and was lifting while enjoying the cat urine ambiance that permeates the basement area, when I felt deep in my gullet the desire to empty the contents of my stomach with spasmodic contractions of my diaphragm. Needless to say, I no longer felt the zen of lifting.
I climbed the stairs to my room fighting the urge to blackout and beginning the ever unpleasant coldsweat and shakes that come with waiting to vom. Ploping down on my bed I layed there waiting for the final warning..but then it went away just as fast as it came. "that was weird" I thought feeling just fine. So I went back to getting ready for work, I jumped in the shower and was enjoying my new American Crew citrus-mint bodywash, when before I knew what hit me I got the 1 second warning that the vom was not gone only waiting to catch me totally off guard (the vom farie isnt happy if your prepared for it) so just like that my Cream of wheat farina was launching out my gaping mouth onto my freshly loufaed feet, clogging the shower drain with its mushy mass..and you know there is only one way to fix that, squishing it down with the aforementioned feet.
An unpleasant intermission to what should have been a invigorating shower.

I feel better now.

I tried my best not to ruin this picture, Darci is too cute I always look bad next to her

sooo.. I once again have a drivers license, its quite nice being legal again..like having a weight lifted from my shoulders, no more "cold sweat" at the mere sight of a friendly officer of the law in my driving vicinity. Driving illegally does have its upside though...I became entirely more aware of my surroundings while driving (and drive a little like an oldman), and my cop-radar is exceptional.

I got another 4.0 this semester..not that its very impressive considering its only my 3rd semester in college, Im interested to see what happens when I actually start taking real classes...as in..the ones that have to do with my major..which is..a bachelors of some sort..

If I can manage a miracle and test in high enough in English and math I could possibly have my A.S. after next summer, English is ok..but math will be a long shot. I have some old skool CD to study my math on the computer circa 96 baby!...I have literally never felt so dumb, giving myself a headache trying to remember anything about fractions on the quizzes..common denominator...cross multiply something..with the root thingy, pretty discouraging.

I went down to the gulf states on September 3 2005-and stayed there until Halloween-came home for a month, and went back to neworleans for 6 weeks over christmas and newyears-
This pic is in a Louisiana state "park"it might not have looked as bad if it wasn't right after a hurricane-but it was still a nasty swampy place-alligators and snakes and all sorts of stuff OhMY!

-yes I tried to poke it with a stick-its about 3-4 feet away, dont worry I fed it some saltines so it wouldnt try to eat me

and this is what happens when you have to live in a tent in mississippi/lousiana for 7 weeks while its a national disaster area , quite flattering I know

We drove down there to see a few prodigious concerts: Bob Dylan and Kings of Leon in L.A at the old lakers stadium(comTON), then went to San Fransisco to see the Neil Young bridge street benefit concert, there were about a dozen bands playing acoustic my favorites were NIN(yes it was acousitc), Pearl Jam, FooFighters, deathcab for cutie and Neil of course it was greeeat!
I stupidly did not take pictures at aforementioned concerts....

just a pretty view, not sure what this warfs? name is, but you can see Alcatraz too if you turn the other direction

This is the tallest tree in the world..according to the little sign on the path..its the Howard Libby tree in the Redwood Forest(CA)
I was there for work in july-august of 06, setup and managed satellite communications for a firefighting camp. It was pretty amazing...the Redwood Forest part, the firecamp thing is old news..Ive been to about 20 different ones in 8 different states over the last couple years
